Which materials can I access for free?
There is a limited number of resources that you can download or access for free. Any registered teacher can download worksheets and multimedia files for lessons that are not marked by a padlock icon.
Which materials do I need to pay for?
To access certain materials and features, you must purchase a teacher or school subscription plan. Content available to paying subscribers includes downloadable worksheets as well as audio and video resources. These lesson plans are represented by the padlock icon.
Why is a resource that I was previously able to use now only available for full members?
To maintain and develop the site, some content is made available to full members that was previously accessible by all members. Occasionally, material for full members is made freely available for a limited period.
How can I search for lesson plans?
On the ESL lesson plans page, click the magnifying glass icon at the top of the page. You will be able to search by keyword, level, lesson time and type of English. On the search results page, there will be more filter options in the sidebar to help you narrow down or widen your search.
Can I preview worksheets?
Yes, you can preview worksheets for all our materials by clicking on the preview lesson plan located on the right side of the relevant lesson plan page.
Where are audio and video files?
Audio/video files for lesson plans are located in the ‘Multimedia’ section of the the relevant lesson plan page.
How do I play audio and video files?
You can play audio or video files in your browser by clicking on the play button next to the relevant file in the ‘Multimedia' section or by scanning the audio/video QR code given in the worksheet.
I accidentally gave a lesson plan the wrong rating. Can I change my star rating?
You can change your rating at any time by clicking on the number of stars that you intend to give. You need to be logged in to do this.
How can I access your full course plans?
Course plans can be accessed by opening a dedicated Coursebook. The list of all lessons included in a course is available in the 'Table of contents' section.
Who creates the material on your website?
The materials on our site are created by experienced former ESL teachers.
I would like to print out your worksheets to use in my class. Can I do this?
Yes, you can print out materials to use directly with your class. Your students are allowed to take these materials home and keep them for their private use. However, we ask you not to modify, reproduce, sell, lend or commercially exploit our content in any way . For further information, see our terms and conditions.
Can I use your resources in my online classes?
If you are teaching online, you may share our pdf, audio and video resources with your students via email, Skype, Dropbox, etc. For further information, see our terms and conditions.
I would like to publish some of your materials on my website. Can I do this?
Linguahouse resources are for personal, pedagogical use only. You do not have permission to upload any of our materials to another website for public access. You may, however, share our resources with your students via a restricted area of your website that only your private students can access. If you would like to share any of our resources publicly, feel free to publish a link to our site.
I’ve read that my students can also review the worksheets online with your Expemo app. How does this work?
The target language from each worksheet is broken down into question-and-answer flashcards. Each Linguahouse worksheet has a unique code that students enter in the Expemo app to access and review the flashcards in their self-study time. The Expemo review engine uses spaced repetition algorithms to minimize the time students need to recall language items by heart. For more information, see Expemo.
How often are new materials published?
We release a couple of new lessons every week for a variety of proficiency levels to cater to our clients' diverse needs. We also update our older materials and republish them regularly.
Can I do a bulk download of your lesson plans?
Yes, you can bulk download our resources by accessing a particular lesson and selecting all of the versions you would like to download. It is also possible to download several different lesson plans. These materials will be added to the download queue.
Can I order tailor-made lesson plans or courses?
Yes, we offer the possibility of purchasing custom-designed materials. To receive more information about this option, please write to us at support@linguahouse.com or via our Contact us page.
How much is a subscription and how do I purchase one?
To check our current prices and purchase a subscription, go to subscription plans.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept common credit and debit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Maestro and American Express. You can also pay via PayPal and by bank transfer.
How secure is the payment process?
We use the most stringent industry standard 256-bit SSL (secure socket layer) encryption to protect sensitive data, such as credit card numbers, during your transaction.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscription plans are subject to automatic re-billing and will automatically renew at the end of the plan’s billing cycle. You may cancel the Recurring Payment at any time by clicking the 'Cancel' button in the billing section of your profile. Your subscription will be valid till the end of the current billing cycle and your card, PayPal or bank account will no longer be charged.
How can I request an invoice?
To receive an invoice for a subscription plan you have purchased, please write to support@linguahouse.com or send us a request through our contact form page. We will use the company information in your profile area when issuing an invoice. If you want us to issue it to a different company, please include the requested details in your profile.
Do you provide proforma invoices?
We provide invoices and proforma invoices for all purchases made on our website. To receive a proforma invoice, please contact us at support@linguahouse.com.
I purchased a subscription but cannot access the resources. What do I do?
Please make sure that you are logging in using the email address you made your purchase with. If the subscription is still not available on your account, contact us at support@linguahouse.com and provide us with the bank-issued confirmation of your payment.
My subscription payment failed. What can I do?
Please try to repurchase the subscription making sure that you have entered the correct information and have sufficient funds. Additionally, please try proceeding with a different payment method. We accept the following: credit and debit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Maestro and American Express, PayPal and bank transfer. If the issue persists, please report it to us at support@linguahouse.com or via our Contact us page.
I wanted to access English/Spanish materials but purchased a subscription for the other language. What can I do?
Please notify us about this mistake at support@linguahouse.com informing us which exact subscription you wanted to purchase.
I’m a teacher but I mistakenly purchased the Premium plan for learners. What do I do?
You can purchase the upgrade to our subscription plan for teachers, Freelancer. To do that, please go to our Pricing page and click the “BUY NOW” button located in the Freelancer column. We offer a discounted price for the first year of the upgraded subscription based on your current subscription plan rate and the portion of your current billing cycle already elapsed.
Are the prices reflected on your Pricing page a gross or a net price?
The final prices listed on our Pricing page are the same for all users. For example, the price of €99 for the Freelancer subscription is a gross price for end-users, while for companies, €99 is a net price.
