Exploring the Sidebars

The sidebars in livetea.ch are essential tools that provide quick access to key features for effective classroom management and student engagement.

Understanding the Slides Sidebar

To access the Slides Sidebar, open your lesson and click the “Slides” icon in the bottom-right corner. This sidebar lets you navigate your presentation smoothly, helping you keep the lesson on track without interruptions. You can easily add, delete, hide, or rename slides—giving you full control during lessons.

Using the Participants and Groups Sidebar

The Participants and Groups Sidebar is a powerful tool for tracking engagement and managing collaboration. Click the icon in the bottom-right corner to view all participants and see who is actively involved by monitoring task scores, hand raises, active talk time, video time, and out-of-focus time (when students have the lesson tab out of focus). You can also prompt participants to mute or unmute themselves, turn on their camera, or temporarily assign someone the role of teacher. When it is time for group work, you can quickly create and manage groups directly from the sidebar. While in groups, audio is isolated so that only group members can hear one another, making it easy to run breakout sessions or team-based activities without distractions.

Upcoming Features

  1. In-Lesson Chat Sidebar: Coming soon, this addition will enable real-time communication between participants, making interaction during lessons more dynamic.
  2. Lesson Details Sidebar: Also on the way, this sidebar will give you a quick overview of your lesson, including the title, teacher, participants, and duration. You will be able to copy the meeting link to share with others and access real-time performance metrics. It is designed to keep everything in one place so you can stay organized and make adjustments on the go.

Final Thoughts

The sidebars in livetea.ch are designed to boost your teaching efficiency by streamlining lesson management and enhancing interactivity. With just a few clicks, you can organise materials, monitor student engagement, and set the stage for more dynamic and productive classes.
